Couples

Each of us have complicated ways of protecting ourselves from being vulnerable, and often those self-protective habits are outside of our awareness. Couples therapy brings these habits into awareness and teaches you the skill of remaining kind and open-hearted toward yourself and your partner, even in the face of painful emotions such as anxiety and sadness. Becoming aware of your habits of disconnection and choosing to do things another way is an unfolding process.

If you are interested in meeting with me, I suggest we meet for an initial session in which we discuss your current struggle and you get a sense of my style. Depending upon where you live, we will do this via VSee, a HIPPA compliant video conferencing platform, or we will meet in person. If you choose to continue, we will complete a more extensive intake over a period of about three sessions. After the intake, we will agree on some goals and begin working.
